My name is Mariam (pronounced Mur-ee-yum) and I'm an Illustration grad from the Rhode Island School of Design. I'm a Karachi-ite currently based in New York designing books at Penguin Random House. I love old maps and useless facts, and I have it on good authority that I often look like I'm in dialogue with myself.

I'm an illustrator/designer by day… and let's face it, by night as well! I believe that storytelling, games and animation can change attitudes and encourage civic participation. I strive to make work that does exactly this.

I'm always interested in taking on new projects. To ask about commissions, pricing, or to request my resume,  please feel free to drop me a line at mquraish@alumni.risd.edu.

Some people I've worked/work with:

Tinybop Inc, Charlesbridge Publishing, The Children's Literature Festival (Pakistan), The Brand Crew, The College Hill Independent, Tentative Collective, RISD Global Initiative (founding member)
